got my show schedule today! omg i'm going to die. i'm doing a show pretty much every other week starting this april and my first show of the season is feb 1, less than two weeks away. going to die.
well at least the horse i'm probably gonna show feb 1 is super seasoned and even if he's crazy i guarantee we'll place in all our classes if not pin first. he's sooo fancy, he's a warmblood draft cross and we'll probably just do intro test b (walk/trot) since our canter is pretty terrible; i tense up because he's freaking huge, 18.2hh... i'm tall (5'8) and he dwarfs me, i will upload pictures definitely. he likes to try and run off and he's just so powerful, i ain't rushing it.
but he has the prettiest headset ever and is sooo light. so essentially all i have to do is just add leg and keep half halting him to make sure he doesn't bolt with me, plus making sure my position is super centered, but we'll be good. so excited
and i'm getting a brand new show coat for my birthday! i'm taking a risk and getting charcoal, but it still looks really classy; it's dark enough that it won't stand out too much, but it'll still be eye catching, if that makes sense! the mare i'm showing is black w/ no chrome and a plain black show coat looks like crap, so the charcoal will look good. esp since i'm doing a grayscale theme for show season
have a great day! props if you read this
